Jimena lives in rural Guatemala and is in the sixth grade. Her life can be difficult; often her family does not have enough to eat. Her parents encourage her to study so that their quality of life improves with her education. She lives with her three brothers and hopes to be an accountant after graduation.

Victoria is in 6th grade at Colegio Benedictino in Boca del Monte, Guatemala. She lives with her parents and two siblings. Her parents work hard (her dad is a bodyguard, and her mother works at a beauty salon) to support them, but they do not earn enough money to pay for all of Victoria’s school fees.

Two months back, thanks to some generous donors, Victoria’s tuition for a full year was taken care of. The donation covered school fees, cost of school materials and daily nutritious meals.

Sean, your gift of a school uniform comes as a boon to Victoria who is now motivated to attend school regularly and perform well. She hopes to continue her studies, and pursue her dream of becoming a psychologist. In her free time she loves to play soccer.
